What is Thermalift?
I have been in the aesthetic business for quite a while to know what machines work or don't work. So far, my favorite one, which I think is the safest and the most effective of all, is absolutely the Thermalift. You may not have heard much about it because of the many latest technologies being overly marketed every day. But this is by far the very best machine I have used in my entire career.
So what is Thermalift? It is a non-surgical approach to skin tightening. Thermalift is controlled radiofrequency energy with uniform radio waves that heat the skin's dermal layers to stimulate the production of cutaneous collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. This process immediately tightens the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines, loose skin, and wrinkles.
Thermalift is a good skin rejuvenation therapy and can be done once a week. Some people can feel the heat and may have slight discomfort, but this will last only a few seconds. There will also be a little zapping here and there when the use of gel is too much or too little. This treatment may also cause a slight redness on the areas but goes away in an hour or two. But there are some instances also that the redness can last for several days. I have not experienced swelling of the treatment area in my practice, but there's a big chance that it may happen, and once it does, this will go away in three to five days.
Thermalift can cause an increase or decrease in pigmentation. This often occurs with darker pigmented skin after exposure of the areas to the sun. Our skin can experience this type of reaction with minor cuts or abrasions. This is the reason why the treated area must be protected from exposure to the sun, just like any facial rejuvenation treatment. I always recommend covering the treated area with sunscreen for two to three weeks following treatment.
Thermalift is a radiofrequency machine which means that if the client has had any dermal filler or neurotoxins like Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, etc., within the past two months, this treatment is not advisable for them. It is possible that the heat from the Thermalift can break down and dissolve the derma filler or neurotoxin and can just be a waste of money.
So far, this is the best approach to skin tightening and to have fresh and younger-looking skin, which will eventually keep you from undergoing any facial surgical procedure in the future.
